Ike, dont you think that the Pentium bug is going to pull
Intel down in the near term?

BTW: Try this to see the Pentium bug for yourself.
Shut down all important apps before doing this....

Run the debug.exe from the dos prompt or from the
"run" option under "Start" in win95.

type the following:

a <enter>
db f0,0f,c7,c8 <enter>
<enter>
g <enter>
This will hang the system. The implications of this bug
are pretty severe IMHO

Ike,
Glad to hear from you. yes there are lot weeds mushrooming all
over the street. I still have my basic belief that half of the action is due to
fund managers doing their annual window dressing. If you look
at sectorwise, technology sector provides greatest hope and
retrun due change in technology and volatility. As a result there
is greater price fluctations. If it coms back it will roar
like a raging lion. There will be lot of upgrades once loading
phase is complete. If the techonolgy is in decline, then there will be
lot of political heat as it would translate into unemployment and
lack direction etc. Sectors like banking are piggybackers as their
well being is linked to better economy and good sentiment of
the public at large.

Ike:

I'm fine. I've cut down on posting for a couple of reasons.

First, work has picked up some I'm only on the net for an hour or two <g>. This will decrease more as work ties up my time (you can forget me contributing in the January to early April time frame due to US insurance regulatory compliance and US tax complaince work.)

Second, with recent down draft in market were entering an area where my contributions may land us in trouble versus help us out. I'm not one of the TA experts and my contributions are usually fundamental analysis. My recent calls while good companies are being hammered (i.e. MRVC, ARSW, INTC, LGND, etc.).

I'm just waiting until I see I can contribute. Also, I've been posting but we've picked up new participants that are more experienced than I and they've really added some positives to the dialogues.

Off topic. I'm arriving in Paris morning of November 18 and will be going to AXA to do some work but will be leaving on the 20th. The 18th I'll be a zombie from jet lag so that leaves the 19th to meet if your in town. Will book a hotel tomorrow. This trip it doesn't look like I'll have time to enjoy my visit. All work.

Will talk later.

Tim
