Chuck, from what I understand, the Terabyte drive is a 5.25 inch disk of tape, and there is some sort of cache doubling mechanism that I don't understand. I talked to a guy I know at Quantum, and he's going to get me official information on what's behind the DLT mystery. If I'm wrong, I'll be glad to swallow, but I have a feeling we're both right. If I knew more about the manufacturing of these disks, I'd be able to judge people's comments better. Either way, Quantum's pulling in a buck....I just wish they'd explore the higher capacity business themselves.
