Subsidies and Support per Unit of Production (dollars/megawatthour) Natural Gas and Petroleum Liquids 0.25 Coal 0.44 Hydroelectric 0.67 Biomass 0.89 Geothermal 0.92 Nuclear 1.59 Wind 23.37 Solar 24.34 Refined Coal 29.81 from tonto.eia.doe.gov "Refined Coal" is the so called "clean coal". Its the most subsidized per unit of energy production, but solar, and wind are close, and everything else is much less.
