Back in the day I did software that did partnership returns for these large German limited partnerships -- sometimes with 5,000-10,000 partners. I remember I had our keypunch people (we actually had keypunches at the time) key all those German names and addresses from paper one time.

They hated me after that. "Just give us some with Smith and Jones for a change".
