Could Mother Nature be the Villain at Busang?

A recent article in May 1997 issue of E&MJ entitled "Mine: A Hole in the Ground With a Fool at the Bottom and a Liar at the Top?" describes in some detail a number of problems that Bre-x Minerals has encountered with the Busang gold property, located on the island of Borneo. Although there may have been transgressions involved on the part of Bre-x, it is also quite possible that it may have inadvertently stumbled onto an exceptional example of what, at our laboratory, is referred to as pre-cursor ore.
