We've haven't gotten our share in years. Too many basket case (and ungrateful) states like yours that need to be kept out of Hatian style poverty. Now quit making excuses and say "thank you", cuz, like it or not, your state survives on welfare and spare change from California (and NY and Ill and NJ). It would have been cheaper for us to pool our taxes and just buy you.

>>The gist of it was that federal dollars that go out to states doesn't necessarily mean this is some kind of aid to the state, i.e. money that goes into the general revenues for the state to use as it sees fit. Those charts reflect federal money that is also going to a state for the support of federal endeavors, such as military bases, corps of engineer lakes, levees, dams and waterways, and national parks....to name a few off the top of my head. I guess federal penitentiaries would also be included....and the large, regional VA hospitals. NASA and Cape Kennedy, too, as well as Indian reservations. <<

Sorry for answering out of order. I was using two different devices to keep up with the thread today, and accidentally skipped some posts.

I see the point you're making. I would add the counterpoint that money spent within a state benefits the economy of that state.
