Mq you can look it from the other side re: not conquering ... VVs could always find enough folk to sell their own for ST financial gain.. Only a few indigenous really ever benefited.. If not why is India just slowly emerging after centuries.. :O) Bear in mind I don't consider VVs any more or less evil/good than anyone else in general.. What they did was no more/less offensive than what many others did.. Holding them up as morally superior when in reality they were simply lucky.. is what I take issue with .. How moral were debtor's prisons or press gangs ? Late response ... were you hibernating ... :O) B
