On the MMM dividend growth portfolio, I have sold the January 2013 95s for $5.20.

So far, nobody seems to want to buy my in the money calls for the dividend capture portfolio. Bunch of pikers. <G>

Well I have come face to face with the realities of the new banking. I have been turned down for a loan for the first time ever, even though my financial well being is as good as its ever been. I tried to refinance my mortgage with my not so local bank that has had my deposit accounts for several years. They turned me down because they require two years of tax returns showing self employment income sufficient to pay the mortgage. I guess a 30 year record of payment record and fico scores or net worth doesnt mean anything anymore. Scratching my head, now these buffoons are going to lose me as soon as I find some local bank who isnt incompetent. No wonder the banks arent lending, they dont know how to anymore.

Mike, following on your idea about owning financially solid companies, Fred Hickey is very high on Microsoft, with its huge income stream from its dominance of the corporate software market, and Verizon, which is about to sell the iPhone and get lots of customers from ATT. The cell phone income stream is very profitable and solid. And they pay a 6% dividend while you wait for the big Q1 numbers.
Thanks for the info on MMM. /Kit
