You could be in for some fun pretty soon - or maybe not.

AMD leapt ahead of Intel when it beat Intel to copper by close to 2 years (while Intel was panicked about "copper contamination"). Now AMD is trying to use Z-Ram to do it again.

If (a big if) Z-Ram works out Intel will be in a very difficult since they are a good 3-4 years behind AMD in working with SOI and gate first. SOI/gate first is a requirement for fabbing Z-Ram CPUS.

Z-Ram allows for much larger, much faster, much more power efficient caches which would be a major advantage - if it can be produced.

You can only hope....
