My observations have been that the dividend capture effectiveness strategies are inefficient;so by definition there are plenty of opportunities.
Many of my Jan 11 covered call stocks are going ex-dividend late Oct and early Nov. Several of my holdings common stock have gone down, as expected, on ex- div- date and I have seen the options increase in price the same day. My only explanation is that the vix of the options is increasing going into the election, the feds meeting on Tue Wed, and the heart of earning seasons. So I am waiting to close out any of my positions... Gregor
