Regarding commodities, one can also make an argument that QE (the term reminds me newspaper "Pravda") and negative interest rates will promote "hoarding" of commodities. Therefore, it is likely that before inflation shows up in official numbers, there will be a big speculative spike, in particular in oil and in food prices.

I shorted the close today, but IMO the chances for a significant decline are slim.

BTW, when it comes to trading, there are very few things I am confident about, but I am pretty sure that EW is a total bs :)
