NW Natural Gas beats by $0.03; reaffirms FY10 EPS guidance; raises qrtrly dividend 5% to $0.435 (NWN) 50.09 : Reports Q3 (Sep) loss of $0.28 per share, $0.03 better than the Thomson Reuters consensus of ($0.31). Co reaffirms guidance for FY10, sees EPS of $2.60-2.75 vs. $2.74 Thomson Reuters consensus. Gross operating rev -19% YoY to $95.1 mln. NW Natural received approval to pass on ~2% rate decreases to residential and commercial customers in Oregon and Washington, effective Nov. 1, 2010. These rate reductions result in the lowest billing rates in six years for the co's residential and commercial customers. The Board of Directors of Northwest Natural Gas Company has declared a quarterly dividend on the co's common stock of 43.5 cents, an increase of 5%.
