Commodity prices are quoted everyday. I have three monitors in front of me, and one has miscellaneous commodity prices on it. And they have been uptrending. Ergo inflation. So that's just a fact.

No, that means producer price inflation but proves nothing about what is passed on to the consumer. It's an equal possibility that retailers will hurt their margins to maintain their price appeal. I've bought a lot of the same groceries at the same stores for four years now and haven't noticed much net change at all.

That's why this business is more complex than one magic screen of numbers. I have three screens going all day long too, but nothing is as 100% certain in my world as yours.
