I can't say it will happen, of course, but you can't say it won't either Centuries of history covering billions of people argue against your point. Social science analysis isn't a coin flip, nor does it rest on generalized preaching and cheerleading. Everything would be better if everything were better is circular logic, maybe fun to preach but useless as a public policy guide since you don't believe government can make a difference anyway. Most of America and most of the western world is not following your prescription, that is the weight of the actual evidence in the real world.
