China is doing fine, it just has no standard of living for a Billion of its 1.3 Billion souls..... China High Rise factories put 8ft wide nets completely around the outside of the building starting at the bottom of the 3rd floor.......to catch the jumpers and keep the suicide rate down...Despair among workers is a given.... China is doing well, just a few isolated problems to deal with. Personally I think China PRC is doing really well considering their population complexities, the PRC has their hands full.
