H.L., you bought in today? At what price?

It is my strong belief that brokerage houses upgrade/downgrade the stock to sell their own blocks at retail/to buy at wholesale.

Althougt I like the company but owned no stocks of the company, I would recommend you to sell tomorrow for a slight profit as it will slowly go down (due to Market Makers manipulation). And catch another dip in the lower 20s and upper teens if you like the stock.

See, Alex Brown did not even comment on its upgrade. There are little reasons behind it other than the trading department can sell their shares with due efforts of the research department. An upgrade, with comments or not, are like advertising. Its like saying Christmas sale and sell their inventory.

I bought FDC AFTER it was downgraded by 6 houses. Its coverage initiated today by CS First Boston. Brokerage houses buy wholesale and advertise the stock to sell retail, dont you get it?

I am planning on buying the stock as the upgrade/downgrade slows down and much ignored by the public and no news. That would be the best time to buy as the brokerage houses buy when the stock is unloved, and sell after it release some form of news.

Good luck
