As Paul E. has said correctly, you can sleep well "until the next bug". See, Paul knows, the next bug does exist!

IMO, the only ones losing credibility are those trying to hype this "bug" as something earth shaking.

I don't think you get it. Suppose you build a fortress. Now you realize you are missing one wall. The fact that you are missing a wall becomes known.

That's what just happened. It means you no longer have a fortress.
