lawd knows if we wait for California liberals to care about poor uneducated underfed blacks here enough to do something about it besides laugh... we be waiting a long daym time. the tide is turning. I don't think they laugh. And I do think there is some effort, by the liberals to at least ease the inequality a little. But you are right that the burden is on the locals... can't do anything significant otherwise. And I think you are right that you are stuck with your geography. Some places get lucky as you are being close to Huntsville.
