24 YOs don't think - you have to tell them.

Whenever I've rented a place, there's always a list of instructions as to what to do when leaving. My sister has a cabin in the mountains and has a list posted on the wall of what to do when leaving. She even consults it when she closes up to make sure she doesn't forget something.

I'm surprised they didn't have such a list, especially when other people use it.

That's really sad to have the whole place destroyed. Insurance?

Our son told us a story about a friend who lives in Wy. It was his first real winter there and his wife was going in to labor. They had to leave the house in a hurry as there was a huge snow storm going on and a plow driver volunteered to lead them to the hospital about 60 miles away. Off they went to the hospital and because of complications with the birth, he stayed in Jackson Hole for three days to be near his wife and new daughter. He finally got back home on the fourth day and everything in the house was frozen solid. He hadn't turned the heat on and it was below zero outside. I guess they had to buy all new furniture. The stuff they had was ruined.
