Yah, but there were a lot of us who dropped out before getting our degree and paid a lot of tuition before doing so.

Still remains a good place to visit, even if few of us actually own the underlying stock any more.

Thread, apm post mortem...

My lessons from apm are multiple:
1. DO NOT FIGHT TRENDS (and the red flag came from the increasing
short interest posted several times before the earnings announce)
2. If one is AT ALL uncomfortable that the earnings could be off (if
one sees ANY weak signs like SEG AND WDC comments), get onto the
sidelines... there'll be plenty of time to ride up and the few
points gained from being "in there" at the announcement are not
worth the risk.
3. A low PE and great looking PEG (before the earnings) can be mis-
leading... When near earnings, don't bank on concensus estimates.
Use these calc's just AFTER earnings when analysts have adjusted.

Other than that, I am a novice and you all have helped me tremendously. I am addicted to this thread... thanks!
(Now, if I could only get out of my pick this week! Oh, well the week's not over... right?)

Dan
