I agree with you that that there are many forms of production.

It is difficult to measure the value that is produced by a musician, a painter, a singer, a philosopher, an historian, and yet, we are all much richer because we live in a world which has musicians, painters, singers, philosopher, historians.

Even more, how can we measure the value we receive from masseuses, dancing girls, graffiti artists, or even the old lady next door who grows roses?

Or the old lady that hisses at the bad children who make graffiti on the public sculpture?

Or the old man who picks up trash in the public square?

Or elmat, Mq, and Jay, who opine in this forum, provided to us by Si(Bob)?

We cannot measure that worth with any number and yet we are all far, far richer because of it.

If not richness in pocket, then richness in soul.
