Re: "How you liking the health care mandate?" I've never supported the mandate to buy private insurance. (It is a sop thrown-in to gain the support of the big insurance companies, HMOs, and hospital chains.) (But then again, it doesn't kick-in until, what? 2016 or something?) What I supported was two things (neither of which did I get): 1) throwing the doors of Medicare open to everyone. (And canceling all of the insurance programs reserved for politicians and federal government workers... fold their memberships in with everyone else say I....) And, 2) allowing private insurance carriers to market their plans in all states, and pool risk pools across state lines. But perhaps I will get those two things before this is all over....
