Health care is no different than any other product or service. I don't know where people get off to some kind of non-existant right to health care. If people want to run free clinics, that's their business but it is not a right. I have no more of a right to getting a free laptop computer and a free big screen TV than I do having a medical examination or medical procedure performed. If I can't pay for a big screen TV, well I can't afford it. If I can't afford hip replacement surgery, well I can't afford it, I better be looking into a wheelchair. There is so much opportunity in this country to succeed and the people that do not succeed have absolutely nobody to blame except themselves.

And canceling all of the insurance programs reserved for politicians and federal government workers... fold their memberships in with everyone else say I...

Unions? Including teachers?

2) allowing *private* insurance carriers to market their plans in all states, and pool risk pools across state lines.

That and tort reform seem pretty obvious good ideas.
