The last poll I saw 79% of " liberal Democrats" approved of Obamas performance. So you are part of the one in five that doesn't. I can think of a half dozen things where I strongly disagree with how his admin has had led things, but I'm not going to condemn him over those few issues.

There never has been and never will an ideologically perfect President. Reality and consequences will always trump ideology.

Well said. It seems we all want our own personal president who does everything the way we would do it.

<<Reality and consequences will always trump ideology.>>

American revolution? Democracy? Civil rights? Viet Nam war?

For 100 years after the civil war the south engaged in segregation and horrible horrible black chain gangs.

The conservatives thought it was the right thing to do. The moderates minded their P's and Q's and kept their mouths shut.

But not we liberals, we stood back to back with the African American community until a liberal power broker, JFK backed by Bobby Kennedy went down to the south and forced them to integrate. At thte point of a gun using the national guard.

We were liberals ostrazied and some were beaten and killed over slavery, womens rights, unions, Vietnam war, counter cultrue movement . I was on some of those lines. Don't remember seeing any conservatives and few moderates.

YOu think the founding fathers were conservative's or even moderates? Lincoln? Those who stood with women trying to get the vote, unions, segregation, gay rights.

Always, always it is the liberals and never the conservatives.

And the Sometimes too polite e.g. segregation!
