Well, that did not take long...:)...I fully expected that you would refuse to discuss...simply because that has been my experience with every 'liberal' I have met over the last 30 years...it is this close-minded bigotry that has driven the US, and much of the rest of the world, to the crisis we now face.

The corruption, fraud, dishonesty is all around us...and yet somehow we think that these facts are not the result of our mainstream thinking? These results can be nothing but the expression of our ideals....and we have agreed on this list that both of our political parties are equally involved in this result. Given this situation, it should not be that hard to find the solution..ie, think of the books which you have refused to read during your entire life, as the most unlikely source of truth....and that is where you will find the answers you have been missing.

Ayn Rand teaches that the virtues are: rationality, honesty, integrity, independence, productiveness, justice, pride...if these were the virtues accepted by our people and our leaders, we would not have the difficulties which we experience in our culture today.

Objectivism offers a comprehensive validation for these virtues, including validations for the foundations of knowledge, methods of concept formation, identification of the source of values (and the virtues needed to enable the achievement of these values), a description of how the rights of life, liberty and property form the basis for political structures, and an explanation of the role of art in human life.

My offer is extended to all others on this list...name your book, and I will read it and discuss it here, along with your comments referenced to 'Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand'.
