Any idea on the cost of transiting to Natgas vehicles?? I am not opposed to the idea, but wonder what the total cost of the build out would be. Aside from probably a couple of thousand per car to convert, you have to build infrastructure so you can gas up as you cruise the hyways and byways.

The USA's dependence on foreign oil can be very substantially diminished by using more natural gas in the transportation sector. It is cleaner and a more efficient use of energy than electric cars. A lot of electricity is already generated by natural gas and it therefore makes no sense to use gas to make electricity then power vehicles electrically. Why not simply use natural gas as the fuel in the first place? This IMO will happen. Electric vehicles IMO are DOA.

I think fleet vehicles (Taxis and government vehicles..) could easily be converted over.. and eventually supply networks for long haul trucking could be set up. As for private vehicles I think it would be a very slow process.
