You had the story and pictures posted to you yesterday of the Pak Mullahs demanding just that of a Pak woman. And the people demonstrating to demand that be carried out.

But you refuse to comment on that. It doesn't fit your attempt to cause trouble here.

Won't work, since - from what I know - there is no such thing as a unified Islamic view. They do not speak in one voice. It would take is an opinion of ONE of the Mullahs or Imams - issued based on one of the acceptable interpretations of the rules - and the life of the putative apostate would be in danger. And.... there are plenty of highly opinionated mullahs and imams out there, and each with a following.

An estimated 10% of muslims are thought to be on the extreme side.

One of the reasons why Jimmy Carter was (and remains) a dangerous and clueless person is that he abandoned the moderate guys in Iran, and gave the extremist elements a chance to take political power. Which they did.
