My house was built in '78 but the window trim was stained and not painted. The interior wasn't painted until 1980. The exterior wasn't painted until '84 when I bought the place. Soaked up 32 gallons of paint for a 2000 sq ft house.

Don't buy anything built in 1978 or earlier either.

I guess I'm just SOL with my 1906 Craftsman Cottage.

We had some windows replaced this summer on our 1920's house. They guy taped some plastic down, that's about it.

I don't think I'll report him.
