If Jimmy Carter wouldn't be a putz, Islamist fundamentalists would not be able to come to power in Iran. The bloody war between Iran and Iraq, with great loss of life and cruelties, would not have happened. We would not be facing the danger of a nuclear Iran. North Korea, very likely, would not be able to defy the rest of the world alone. I don't know how much of the blame for those tragic mistakes should go to Zbig Brzezinski. Probably, quite a lot. And that's a guy whom Obama tapped as an adviser. Oh yeah, the [sudden] abandonment of Somoza, which led to bloody wars in Nicaragua and El Salvador, was also the result of Jimmy's and Zbig's political idiocy.
