Ted, > Of course that's not true but you love perpetuating a winger urban myth.

You know how many huge snowstorms NYC had to deal with in the past several decades? A lot.

The work crews are almost always on top of the situation, clearing streets quick enough to get the city moving again. Kids almost NEVER get snow days (something that I looked forward to when I was attending grade school in Maryland).

How come THIS year the work crews couldn't keep up? Budget cuts? Climate change? Just unlucky? Or maybe it was a deliberate slowdown. There were many eyewitness reports of public union employees not doing their job during the big snowstorm. It's not hard to put two and two together.

But if you're a liberal whose very sanity relies upon the utopian myth, it's hard to break out of your denial.

NYC Residents Frustrated By Delayed Trash Collection

It's so bad, the rats are having a field day. Literally.

Of course, the blame is directed at Mayor Bloomberg. Which would suit the motivations of an alleged union slowdown ...
