Of course words matter. Action is always preceded by what a person hears, reads and thinks. I just think you've lost your perspective, for some reason, on this whole thing. Remember when the left groups ran ads comparing Bush to Hitler? What if a nutcase like Loughman had taken a shot at Bush? We'd be having this same discussion but the sides would be flipped.

And what would the point be? There's no practical remedy other than the public shaming that is what's now taking place. I don't know what it is you want to happen or why you don't comment on the same incitations to violence that come from the left.....like the three I posted today.

Then surely Mr. Lokness, you must agree, there is blood on the hands of President Barack Hussein Obama here.

Who has more power to communicate imagery and influence through words, than the President? Who is setting the tone here?

President Obama: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said in Philadelphia last night. “Because from what I understand, folks in Philly like a good brawl..."

Lokness:

Another example that perhaps you can relate to is those insane enough to shoot abortion drs in cold blood. These people absorb the hate speeches that then rationalizes what they do. Are they insane? Who can argue? What is for sure is that there are speakings that contribute to their ultimate action.
