Maybe today Paul will have more documentation. All I heard from the coverage last night was that police had been brought in 5 times because of the shooter's strange behavior. But that may or may not mean formal reports were filed. Or could be a different policeman came each time, filed a report, but no one connected the dots.

I would imagine right now the police are guarding their history, if any, of the shooter since the FBI are now conducting the investigation. Time will tell all. I'm most interested to find out if anyone tried to seriously get him into the hands of mental professionals. The criminally insane keep falling through the cracks in our country. We had a shooting at our university not many years ago....killing a popular professor. Afterwards scores of people said 'oh yeah that guy was weird, I'm not surprised'.
Same scenario has happened all across the country. I understand that we can't have witch hunts and privacy rights are integral to society, but surely we can do better than have so many human time bombs whose slow mental disintegration throws off all kinds of signals.
