In the 1980s the Minneapolis Star Tribune ran an editorial. I used to be able to link to it but it is gone. It's hard to believe but I swear to you it is true.

This editorial told us without a hint of irony and with a smug certainty that the way to solve the looming SS problem was simplicity in itself. Just increase the interest on the SS bonds.
