This is exactly my sentiment. IOM still suffers from the effects of its last split. It is irresponsible to announce a split at such a low price of $28. This stock is NOT taken seriously by the Street because of management decisions exactly like the announcement today. Iomega is trying to rid itself of its Internet Hype tag, and this split does not help things. If IOM wants respect, they should wait until the stock price breaks its $56 all time high barrier (if that ever were to happen). That would garauntee to send a signal to the Street that IOM has arrived.

Now, with this new stock split, its still just another Internet Hype stock.
