We need fewer homicides, fewer accidental deaths and fewer suicides. That means fewer guns. That means stricter licensing and registration, more vigorous background checks and a ban on assault weapons. The majority of gun deaths in the US each year are suicides. Does the idiot who wrote this really believe that if you restrict gun ownership you will materially reduce the number of suicides? That these same people who are desperate enough to blow out their brains won't simply find an illegal firearm, use their grand-dad's shotgun, or simply overdose on their drug of choice? And what of the rights we have as Americans to own firearms?
