You might want to consider what similar trajectories could mean. I think Gates would still have achieved great things while Langan would be similar to what he has. No doubt there are many people who grew up with similar child hood environments to Langans with much lower IQ who shaped the USA with inventions and with business creation. Life is how to respond to it. Also perhaps the argument that some people are just in the right place at the right time could be a factor with Gates.
