Full Duplex Sounds Cards (for those who are arguing): The only two I can verify are full duplex are: Diamond MOnster Sound (PCI based) SB 16, awe 32 & awe 64 (ISA based).. They are the only ones worth having at any rate.. Steve Cyrix Rules!

Josef, Fuchi, Jim, Steve, et.al. I greatly appreciate the responses from you guys concerning getting a System for my daughter in Jakarta. You guys are the best. However you have confused me. Josef, you said I needed a full duplex sound card. I don't think this is correct. The system I am currently using has an old, old Gateway 16 bit sound card; and a Diamond 56i SP modem. The modem handles the two way voice and is connected to the sound card (and speakers) througth the sound card's in-line. My daughter in Florida has a similar system and we talk over the Internet. We are using the Internet Phone 4 software/service. My question is does the Cyrix CG processors contain the Voice capability in their built in modem? Do the Compaq Presario 2200, etc. have the capability to talk over the Internet? Again thanks for your support in this matter. Frank P
