Guess I am confused. I thought the Taliban, in reality, controlled the crops, paid bare wages to get them harvested and then sold them to those who would create a drug product which was sold in Afghan and worldwide.

That money was then turned into weapons and guerilla fighters to be used against their enemy.

It would seem if we bought the crops, we would be playing into the hands of the Taliban. Am I wrong here?

Many reservists are Midwest farm oriented and are teaching them how to grow soybeans.
