What burns me is that dental assistants HAVE to work for a dentist. They are virtual slaves. In a free market situation, you would see teeth cleaning services set up like barber shops. And you would get your kid's teeth cleaned for $50 at Walmart while shopping on the weekend instead of having to take off work to go to the dentist with the child and pay $200. How did that come to be? It chaps me, too. I've wondered before why there were't such clinics.
