Why should a person earning over $106,000/year be punished for the crimes of the U.S. government? Even in a doomsday collapse scenario, I think that even Bill Gates should get back his fair share of what he paid in (proportionally adjusted based on whatever remains in the trust funds, if anything). Because we are talking about an extreme condition which may be during very hard times. Should millionaires get hundreds of dollars when the poorest get only dollars? The rich will not notice hundreds of dollars, but the poor will appreciate the money.
