Sooo....... I'm not the only one who thought those fab fires could be intentional.

AMAT is a great investment for long term. Take advantage of recent downturn to load up on this fundamentally strong company. Nice to see the market dip today to scare off more of the novice investor that gets the jitters and don't do their homework and mistakenly sell. It create great buys for the disciplined long term investors. AMAT will continue to double in value like INTC, BA, CADE, PCTH, QNTM, CSCO, COMS, HWP, SPTR, HLIT and other fundamentally strong high tech stocks.

Richard, The question which I have is, "Can the technological/digital explosion, High Density TV, Digital cellular phones and all the other electronic/communications be put back in the bottle?" I would love to see the flow chart along with the time sequences for the implementation of this explosion. Does anyone on this site have knowledge or the location of such sites? I am just trying to look at the alternatives and we collectively can do some problem-solving and as Big Buck would say, "What if's and then."

I still remember the article in Forbes Magazine (July 97 I believe), The Boom Ahead 1980-2000. I just got the books, "Megatrends 2000", and "Megatrends Asia" by John Naisbitt.

Reactions?

Paul V.

just a minor point on your post... I think the three fabs which had fires were in the last "year", not few months... (today in the wsj)
