I am quite perplexed to read that Dr. Marc Faber has moved out of HK and is located in Chiang Mai instead. It would be interesting to find out from him the rationale for his move, as I do suspect it has to do with the relative superior quality of life in the latter town/sprawling village, esp if one considers the cost aspects of little luxuries like 4 hands massages, variety of food, transport, huge houses with gardens to grow one's own vegetables, views of real, trees studded hills, unpolluted skies, and a general freedom to think, speak and act freely.....in a very real sense. Yet it suffers none of the disorderliness and traffic jams of Bangkok.

On the other hand, is it possible that Dr. Faber was forced to adjust his cost structure in line with his current subscription take-up for GB&D reports?
