I completely agree.

That's why I take issue with the claims that twitter or FB "started" any of this. People from all walks of life - not just the young - have hated the Mubarak regime for years. Kleptocratic rulers who brutalize their subjects are rarely popular, nor should they be.

This afternoon, I watched an interview with the Mauritanian human rights activist @weddady on CNN that describes the role technology did and did not play in the #Egypt popular uprising. I hope you'll get a chance to see it. (bit.ly link: bit.ly

I.T. is a wonderful tool, which can supplement but not supplant the power of physical presence.
