ASND: EVEREN SECURIT decreased estimate for fiscal year ending 12/99 from $1.47 to $1.46 on 11/12/97 Glenn, Still hanging in? Was concerned not seeing any posts from you for a while. We seem to be reaching the end of the runway, and so far the brakes aren't holding. Situation in Iraq will not put folks in a stock buying mood. At least HK didn't tank last night. Always amazing that at time like these, some dirtwater brokerage thinks they have the visibility out more than two years to change estimates by a penny. I keep telling myself that money isn't everything. Maybe I should get a life, so I have something to fall back on. jas

Although Cowen has been a bearish contrarian on ASND, it still expects a $0.24 EPS for 9704 instead of $0.23 as ASND has communicated. Very interesting ! Whereas, GERARD KLAUER decreased estimate for quarter ending 12/97 from $0.31 to $0.26 on 10/31/97. ASND: OLDE DISCOUNT decreased estimate for fiscal year ending 12/97 from $1.29 to $1.06 on 11/06/97 . In effect, it expects 1.06 - (0.31 + 0.31 + 0.20) = 0.24. Those 3 firms are in fact upbeat on ASND for the 9704 qtr and think that ASND will exceed the consensus estimate of 0.23.
