The wifi restriction is purplexing and will cause much confusion and delay

And, I think, piss people off. Enough for many to buy a wifi only iPad. For $300 less.

Obviously not trying to go for market share with pricing like that. Makes sense to try to fleece the early adopters while they have first mover advantage

Makes no sense to me at all, given they do not have the first mover advantage - the iPad does, by over a year, and it's about to be upgraded to iPad 2, maybe as early as next week.

At $800 - plus at least a month worth of data plan or it's a dead doorstop - this untried hardware and software, Johnny come lately copy slab is priced exactly where the most expensive, tried and true, original iPad is. Suicidal!

Gonna drive a lot of prospective tablet shoppers to Apple.

Also comparing dual core, dual camera, 3G&4G tablets with single core, NO camera, NO 3G/NO 4G tablets is stupid (which is typical of moronic iSheep these days), even thought I would agree that the early adopters will snatch up the Motorola Xoom as fast as they can build them. I expect the price will drop once the LG G-slate and Galaxy Tab 2 as well as the flood of other Honeycomb tablets from Asus, Acer, Viewsonic, Dell, Lenovo, etc. etc. etc. hits the streets...
