It wasn't bad when I was by myself. I finally hired a bookkeeper when I had one employee, and still could manage. But when you still are the major salesperson, as well as the management person, and do all the PR and Advertising and Marketing plans, plus all the other things, the tipping point for me was having 10 employees. In effect, you design the plans before, you manufacture the product, you then market it, and you are the sales force as well...plus have to do all the danged paperwork ad nausaum....

It was a most interesting business though. We were recruiting for many small and medium sized businesses, and some large Fortune 500's Regional offices as well. We could tell when the times or the economy were not good....people were laid off. We could tell when the management was not good....people continued quitting and let us know about the internal workings of the company they just left. Candidates used to tell us the darndest things...<gg>

If companies only knew....they wouldn't do some of the things they do....

I've always thought I should "write a book".....but instead, to chanel my energy in different directions....<gg>
