John, why are we forming an opinion of Beck based upon a "clip," which by definition has been edited?

Frankly, I find Beck's style refreshingly enjoyable while fact-based and logical. After listen to him, I am usually left with thought provoking questions that need answering; and that is the hallmark of an effective teacher. In fact, Beck’s style is reminiscent of some of the best professors and lecturers I encountered college and grad school.

Often Glenn’s "stunts," as you call them, serve to illustrate a message theme. The point can be missed by many, otherwise astute listeners. For example, this Monday Imus and crew were guffawing at Glenn (hopefully with tongue in cheek) for wearing a cape and carrying a stick. Was the stunt ridiculous or reference to Moses and Exodus? Apparently Imus's point missed the point.

Wilkow, Hannity, and Levin are all excellent conservative voices with differing timbre. IMHO Bill O'Reilly, despite his alleged stellar ratings, strikes me as a closed minded anti-intellectual. I’m tired of his interrupting and over-talking guests with whom he may disagree -- Bill totally turns me off. I Guess it’s all a matter of taste.

Regardless, these men voice all the conservative message to one degree or another albeit with differing styles that appeal -- based upon ratings -- to a very wide range of political consumers.
