Not only on software but also hardware ideas.

They will always be years behind. Not that they won't make money, they just aren't going to make big profits. Puny profit margins.

Think about it. If android hadn't been developed they'd be NOTHING in this market. Nada. Zip.

They can't always expect some other company will do their development for them.

The point is, "Why did the iPhone not take more from Sybian (or wherever) while droids were getting to a 53% market share?"

Where would Samsung, or the other Androids clones be without Google? Seriously. These guys are assembling components, nothing more. Well a little marketing....

Having Schmidt on the Apple board may have been a historical corporate blunder. I assume someday the story will be told.
