Gordon, do China/India needs food or PC. Well, maybe with more PCs and more TVs then there will mean less time to crank up the population. You think those governments take care of 'people' first or the 'pockets'. My friend's company told her there are millions and millions of doctors and engineers being turned out in those countries. She (a new graduate in enigineering) was stunned and upset ( I don't know why, ignorance, I guess ). I suggested to her to become a marketing guy. US has the better talent in selling things. ASIA is where everything will be. (money and jobs). The DELL thread is happy they didn't have any exposure to that area (strange!!). If ASIA tank, we will tank. Don't believe what the expert say. It is a major correction if not a crash (hintsight is 20/20). Forget about your 'last 20-30%' of paper gain, it was never meant to be there unless you are smart enough to take those off the table. Since this is a Global economy, U.S's living standard will be lowered to those in ASIA or they will raise to U.S's standard, depending which one you think is more achievable. The stock market thinks it is the 'former'. The collapse in SEA says the same thing. We have a problem. Needs smart people (not the politically correct people) to fix it. Certainly not by the people who said the right things to everything and get prize here and prize there. Every prize they got HAVE TO BE PAID by someone, most likely the future generation if not now by you and me. God save this world. The sky is falling. Everything is falling and nobody can stop it. Well, there is an 'absolute bottom' and I don't think we can fall thru that BIG ZERO. Sorry, pessimistic as usaul. (or realistic ?? maybe).
