Exactly my thought.
Simplify the tax code and cut the IRS in half.

Me, too.

I was struck in the article by how little was expected to be collected relative to the added cost of hiring. Simplifying the tax code by disallowing many of the myriad deductions would would be an easier and better return. Not that that would be easy....fighting off the lobbyists for each favorable tax treatment would be horrific.

Amen Josh - It is ludicrous that one almost has to hire someone to do the your taxes due to the complexity.
